Night in the Middle ot Nowhere

Into the Night in the Middle of Nowhere the stars appear: thousands of them- a sight so enchanting that I rush with my camera to the meadows and hilltops, to gather their reflective light. These are long exposures, nearly an hour, and strange things happen: mists come and cover the lens, stars streak and moons rise and fall. No ambient light intrudes save the ebb and burn of nearby windows. In this still whispering night, with flashlight in hand I am transformed: a lightstruck ghost in a summery field. When winter comes, this place will haunt me.
